My students attend a public school in an urban area of Louisiana. They come from low income homes and school is a safe place where they will always feel love and belonging. All of my students are part of the free and reduced lunch program. They come to school ready to learn and work hard to overcome their hardships. Many are English language learners and struggle with not only learning the classroom material but with basic communication. Math is our common language. These students deserve the best education possible and I plan on providing it for them.
