At WCES, students are engaged in learning more about their brains and how being well-regulated can help them achieve academically. A Brain Lab will provide our students with a space where they can identify how they are feeling and better understand how this impacts brain functioning. They then can choose related activities that help them become regulated, and in a better place to learn. Depending on the student鈥檚 needs, they may regulate through calming activities like breathing, engaging in rhythmic activities such as drumming, or more focused attention activities including journaling.
