Third graders are a sweet and curious group of students who love hands-on experiences. Like the colors of a rainbow, these children shine in different ways because of their different hues, intensity, and values.
My students are bilingual learners who amaze me with their curiosity and the awesome ideas they bring into our classroom community.
Many of my students come from underprivileged homes, while others are on the opposite end of the spectrum. Yet they are all caring children with diverse needs who are always willing to help each other understand and learn new concepts. I can never finish the sentence, "Who would like to help..." when countless hands shoot up in the air to volunteer. Sometimes I jokingly finish my sentence by offering an unpleasant job...and hands still wave in the air!
