Each day I have the honor of teaching 96 sixth grade students. Most are English Language learners from and come from an immigration background. Many of them are come from families living in poverty, working multiple jobs to make end meet and can offer little help with homework or projects. Reading and comprehending is something a lot have given up over the years of unsuccessful intervention programs. Trying to inspire a love or reading with students halfway to adulthood is an uphill battle. Please help inspire these fragile readers with new book to inspire their creativity and imaginations.
