I teach in a low income school; although free and reduced-price lunch is available, free and reduced-price milk and snacks are not! Students usually begin to get hungry before lunch, so we offer families the chance to purchase "snack milk" for their child. Many families cannot afford to send this extra need to school each day.
I am hoping to have a supply of snacks to offer my students when they are hungry, forget a snack, or just need some fuel to get through the day. One of the first things I am asked in the morning is, "When is lunch?"
I do not want worrying about lunch to distract my students from learning each day. Please help me make this a reality for my students in need.
