My students come from low income families. We serve free breakfast, lunch, and sometimes dinner. It has been proven that children from lower income families don't have the same level of vocabulary as student's that come from a higher level income. During our all day kindergarten we have 50 min. to enrich the student's with oral language center time. The student' have the opportunity to practice their vocabulary with their friends and to learn new words through play.
