My Students
My diverse first graders are a charismatic group with many abilities and talents. I work hard to meet their academic and social needs on a daily basis at a Title I school with 67% free and reduced lunch.
I am continually amazed by the joy and light these children possess although several are faced with tough economic and social-emotional challenges.
Often these children enter my room lacking sleep and food in their tummies, yet they greet me with a smile and a desire to take on the goal of learning for the day.
