Students will use their knowledge of basic music notation and be able to transfer what they have learned over the years to playing the ukulele. Currently, I have the lesson materials to teach my students ukulele, but no instruments! My students will learn how to play simple chords and melodies on the ukulele, which will allow them to play many different popular songs. In addition, the ukulele is a great way to differentiate within the classroom, by allowing me to work closely with students that need extra help and providing extra challenges for students that excel in music.
The ukulele is the perfect way to create excitement within the music classroom, and they will allow my students to express their creativity. Ukuleles also help with the physical aspect of child development, as they increase fine motor skills, hand-eye coordination, concentration, and focus. Please help me give my students an outlet for their creativity and help these young musicians thrive!
