We are a small school in rural southern Utah. There is only one class for each grade level. We may be small but we are powerful. In my class we have scientists and artists and mathematicians. We have cowboys and ball payers and hunters. My students learn that they can do anything and be anyone they choose to be.
We live in some of the most beautiful country in the world and we love it here. We get to travel to the Grand Canyon, Zion National Park, and Bryce Canyon National Park. We are surrounded by nature, and much of it is untouched by civilization. We like it that way.
Every student in my class is proud to be from a small town. We love our local high school sports teams and that's where many spend their evenings out. There is no movie theater in our town and just one grocery store. It really is "small town USA."
