I work in a self contained Dual Immersion 5th grade classroom. My students learn, speak, read, and write in two languages. The languages in our Dual Immersion Program are English and Spanish. My students are developing the skills necessary for an intertwined world. Our school is a Title 1 school, which means that 50% of our students come from a economically challenged home. I am thankful for all of my student's perseverance for developing life skills that will promote unity and acceptance in a world that is always growing smaller.
