Anchor charts provide a rich resource for both students and teachers. My classroom is in desperate need of an easel to hold large chart paper and whole group materials to provide a solid point of reference in each of our lessons. I prefer most of my direct instruction to take place with my students gathered around me on the rug. When students are on the rug, they are less prone to distractions at their desks, and we can all see each other more clearly.
We are moving from being good to great in literacy and math.
My students will use this easel to refer back to previously taught material when working independently or in a group.
