My students, in a rural area of West Virginia, do not have many opportunities to visit science centers where they may do hands-on experiments. Their families often are economically disadvantaged and are not able to provide the science kits and toys that other children have. Yet, they are still eager to learn. They thrive when allowed to learn through kinesthetic and tactile activities.
