I work with students who have a variety of abilities and disabilities. They are both alternately assessed and standardly assessed. My students are poverty stricken, the majority living in public housing. They attend a citywide special educational school, where they receive the supports and services they require to succeed now and in the future. We transition to post secondary education and employment opportunities, by exposing them to vocational experiences while in high school.
