The students from my school are from a high poverty, urban area of New York. Most of the students are eligible for the free lunch program. The majority of my students are sons/daughters of immigrants or immigrants themselves. They attend a smaller public middle school which specializes in science and the performing arts. The students have expressed an interest in creating a robotics program which would add a new dimension to the the science program at the school
