My classroom is a self-contained learning space that focuses on social, emotional, and life skill development, inquiry based curriculum exploration, and practicing mindfulness in everyday situations. There are 10 students in our classroom that receive specialized instruction. They are wonderful with unique talents and abilities! Our classroom serves students from third to fifth grade that cover a whole range of ability levels from on grade level to emergent reader skills. Each day my team and I work to plan and implement engaging and motivating lessons to inspire them to inquire about the world around them. We dance, research, build, write, read, calculate, and discuss quite a bit in my busy room, and sometimes all at once! We are grateful for and embrace opportunities to learn from one another.
