Our school is proud to offer our students as many opportunities as possible to engage and be active participants in their learning. By having iPads in the classroom, we will provide them with a tool that allows students to bring what they have learned to life.
How amazing would it be to have a group of students in your class create a music video that explains the scientific method? By having iPads in the classroom, my students will have the tools they need to be active and mobile while applying what they know to an interesting and tech savvy presentation. Today's learners are born to create, and with iPads, they will have a multitude of opportunities to do so at their fingertips. Through movies, powerpoints, webs, vocabulary review students will be able to take what they have learned in class and demonstrate a deeper understanding.
Furthermore, iPads provide an array of applications that could be integrated into our daily learning. Through ClassDojo, students can create portfolios of their work and IPads would facilitate this. Students can use flexible seating in the classroom and watch NASA's latest probe land on Mars, the possibilities are endless.
Please help my amazing 5th graders obtain 2 iPads for their classroom to help them become a part of the learning process and take control of it.
