In fifth grade, students get bigger and need more space to move about the classroom! My current classroom set up is not ideal for my 5th grade class and my technology is outdated. I have wires for my projector, document camera, and projector that protrude out from underneath my desk, which can pose a safety hazard and make it difficult for students to model problems and present their work to their peers. Wires are constantly coming lose, the old technology is too slow, and the projection of these materials are too small. This technology would allow me to have a more student-centered classroom, because it would provide my students with the space they need to move around, a fun way to showcase their talents, and a learning space that they are not constantly struggling to see! It would also eliminate time lost in my classroom due to my old equipment and technology malfunctioning and keep students safer by minimizing clutter and wires. This technology would allow me to plan interactively and engaging lessons without having to worry if it will be feasible and safe to have my students move about the classroom or if they will be able to see.
