Second grade is a crucial transition year for students. This is the time where students truly start to blossom both academically and socially. We set the foundations for fun and learning and have the ability to shape a student's interest in academics for years to come.
Second grade is a vital learning age, so it is imperative to create diverse, invigorating learning experiences with hands-on and technologically enhanced instruction. But we need your help!
Resources such as tablets are not always accessible in the school systems. I am asking for your help to place a fun and engaging learning tool into the hands of my students. Having Kindles will allow my students to use technology programs to learn. They will become better readers by interacting with activities that help with phonics, phonemic awareness, and sight word recognition. They will be stronger in math by interacting with activities that focus on second grade math skills. They can also be used with our science and social studies curriculum. The possibilities for integrating these Kindles into the classroom are endless!
