My class is comprised of 12 multi-cultural, ESL students with multiple disabilities. Despite their disadvantages they come to school each day eager to learn. When taking their disabilities into account, their achievements are remarkable. Very rarely do I hear "I can't," or "I am not able to". My students learn in a number of ways. One of which is through the use of visual supports, such as pictures and video. When I give them the ownership of these pictures and video, it only enhances their learning. Technology has certainly leveled the playing field for my students; it allows them to have similar learning experiences to that of their "non-disabled" peers.
