My students deserve the best education I can provide them during these difficult times. It is my job to provide my students with a welcoming environment, rigorous lessons, and as much consistency and support as possible.
I am a teacher, but I am also a mom to three kids 5 years and under. Our family is needing to set up 2 virtual classrooms in a 2 bedroom apartment (my husband is also a teacher), while also leaving some space for our small children. The self standing white board will help us divide the space more efficiently and provide our students with the least distractions possible. It will also provide more flexibility for our synchronous live sessions where the white board can be used for demonstrations, keeping track of class data for activities, and anchor charts can be hung. The teachers pay teachers lessons will be of great help seeing that my students enjoy a variety of learning activities. These lessons will allow me to provide rigorous and engaging lessons that will help my students access and learn the content standards for the three different classes I will be planning for.
Beyond this year, when we are hopefully back in the classroom, these items will continue to provide exceptional experiences for my future students. The lessons acquired can be reused and improved upon every year. Our classroom will also have the benefit of a mobile white board that can be used for small group instruction or even taken outside to our outdoor learning space in our math building courtyard. The opportunities of engagement are endless and will benefit my students year after year.
