It's no secret that middle school students aren't the first ones to pull books off shelves and read them. I absolutely love helping young adolescents learn how to love reading again. This skill is critical for their success in school and in life. Reading is the one exercise a student can do to improve in ALL academic areas and improve their personal lives as well.
I'm so excited to share my classroom library with my students, but they need a home! My students need to be able to find the books they want to read. Having them organized on shelves will be so much easier than digging through them out of tubs or boxes. Donations to this project will improve the daily reading lives of my students because it will allow them more time to read, rather than spending significant amounts of time digging through piles of books.
