In my classroom students use laptops to publish essays and stories, research across topics, engage with educational software, and collaborate with one another via Google Classroom & google docs. These computers will provide accommodations to students with learning differences that will also benefit all learning styles within my diverse classroom. Having access to laptops in our classroom will enable and empower students to explore their interests and curiosities in a productive way. Living, and learning in the 21st century, my students are constantly excited by the opportunity to apply their computer knowledge to their writing. By drafting both fiction and non-fiction pieces using google docs, students are able to 鈥媠hare their work with me. This enables me to give direct feedback that students are able to then communicate with apply to their writing.
