Many of my students have sensitivities to light, sound, touch, etc. Some also have difficulty regulating without deep pressure or weight. They work much better when they have weighted materials, fidget toys, etc. I have some materials, but they are currently difficult to access because they are in boxes. We moved to a smaller room this year, and I lost much of my built-in storage. These cubbies would allow easy and organized access to the materials for both students and educators. The weighted lap blankets will round out my supplies for self-regulation and speech/language sessions. When all of the materials are organized, the room will work much more smoothly and allow students to have more fun because they will be less distracted by sensory needs.
Please give my students the tools they need to learn self-regulation!
