Here at Ridgeview High School, my classroom is filled with students of all different backgrounds.
Throughout the course of my class, students will learn about art history, elements of art, principles of design, and how to apply techniques to produce quality work and refine their skills. While these things are important to learn in an art classroom, there are additional skills that I try to teach that are invaluable.
In each of my classes, I have freshman, sophomores, juniors, seniors, ELL, special ed students, honors students, and everyone in between. Along with the diversity of academic levels, there is a variety of cultural and socioeconomic differences as well. Learning to work together and appreciating each other for our differences is a skill that I hope my students take away from my class and use in their future.
