My students need a drying rack, science readers, tape, incubator, and other pretend materials. Pretend play is a great way for students to put into practice what they have learned. By using play money or items to make a store they could practice more about counting money for example. Pretend play also allows children to work out problems in a safe way. It helps them learn to interact and develop appropriate social skills. Science is a dying subject in the younger grades, but that doesn't stop kids from being interested in it! I want to give them as much resources as possible for them to engage in science and keep their curious minds growing!
