I have 28 wonderful and inquisitive kindergarten students. They live in an urban community and attend an Illinois public school. Our kindergarten class typically works for part of the day at hands-on learning centers that integrate all subject areas. These activities and centers tap into my students' natural curiosity and give ample opportunities for them to be active participants in their own learning. Students enjoy working in cooperative learning groups to reinforce skills and to explore new concepts.
