As a speech-therapist, I provide services to multi-diverse students who come from many different backgrounds. Each student's communication and speech needs are unique and special. All students who recieve speech therapy typically require functional communication needs, speech sound production correction, and assistance with their receptive and expressive language. Students and teachers are able to come to my classroom for direct support, consultation, materials, and more. Collaborative relationships are key to the success of students' overall needs with speech and language therapy. All therapy materials that are campaigned for and funded will provide resources to low-income students, their teachers, and their families. Generalizing communication skills from my classroom to their everyday environments and activities is key for long-term success and continued growth. In my classroom, we practice praise and positivity.
