Hi, I'm a 2nd grade teacher at a low-income/high poverty public school. Many of my students are faced with challenges both in and out of the classroom. Over 60% of my students enter 2nd grade reading below grade level. Despite the many challenges my students face they come to school with inquisitive minds. In my classroom students are moving, collaborating, and engaging in hands on, high interest, interactive, and differentiated lessons. My goal is to create an inviting 21st century learning environment that produces lifelong learners and avid readers. By donating to this project, my students will be able to connect to the world we live in, listen to stories, read and write stories, visit places they cannot go, and create learning projects. Your donation will help give many 2nd graders an opportunity they wouldn't have had.
