Having a water filtration system in our classroom will not only provide a water source in our classroom, but it will also help to keep our children safe and aid in clean-ups. Having a water source in the classroom will allow students to get water without leaving the classroom. When students leave the classroom to go to the water fountain, they can miss out on valuable learning time with peers.
Having a water system in the classroom will also be more hygienic than going to the water fountain where many children put their mouths on the faucet. As COVID and other viruses are still a concern, I want to provide students with a clean water source and less contamination.
This water pump will serve many purposes, but I am especially looking forward to using it when needed to help clean up messy, sticky spills. Since there is no sink in the classroom, it can be difficult to clean otherwise easy spills. A little water on a napkin will go a long way.
