Classroom participation will become more rewarding with the items on my project list! Seeing different shapes, and being able to touch them will help each student learn why math is important. There are a few games on the project list that will provide the same mathematics rules that will resonate more than the math rules taught, and read from the textbook. I am a first year teacher with very little fun classroom activities. This list of items should satisfy all learning styles.
Each item on this list will be of use by me constantly, especially an adjustable chair! I will be able to use the adjustable chair from different locations. Most importantly, I will engage more with the students while sitting down at their desks or in their groups at a higher height. The math sets and games will be an exciting sight for the students to see everyday.
I can incorporate the games and use the math tools as a part of my lesson plans. All of the items will excite and encourage the students to learn, and understand, that math is amazing, and we use it in so many ways.
