Ever since I became a history teacher five years ago I have found that getting kids engaged with material outside of the classroom have encouraged their thirst for knowledge about the world.
I teach World History and US History at a public high school in Boston, Massachusetts, where my students analyze historical processes and trends in class that I hope with your help can extend out into the world.
Through inquiry-based learning, they explore civilizations' social, religious, and economic patterns, acquiring a deeper understanding of ancient history to understand our current world.
My students are drawn to learning about different cultures in our world and discovering things about each that make those cultures unique. Anytime I get to have students interact with these ancient cultures it gives them a better perspective of people in the world today.
