My students love STEM projects where they get the chance to have hands on experiences for their learning. Students will investigate the amount of pollution produced by cars and how solar energy might alleviate this problem. Students will have the opportunity to build their own car. By creating their own car, students will investigate how solar energy can be used, and learn about some of the challenges involved with building solar powered cars.
Your generous donation to our project will improve our 6th grade classroom by allowing them a hands on experience that will enhance their learning. This project is important because it opens up the idea of not only helping the environment, but what WE can do to help the environment. It will also spark interest in some of my students to begin thinking about how they can make a career out of helping the environment.
