In my school we are incorporating PLTW (Project Lead the Way) program in our lessons because we know that our students have all the skills and qualities to be designers and innovators and we empower kids to adopt a design-thinking mindset through challenging projects and hands-on activities in Computer Science. For the application of the program, the students need iPads in order to be able to access to all the resources, apps and activities.
With the 4 iPads my students will be able to use all the PLTW computer applications (I teach 39 students and I only have five iPads).
Also, as a MIE Expert (Microsoft Innovative Educator Expert) my students will communicate via Skype with different Math and Science professionals and same age scholars world wide.
Furthermore, students will participate in the world wide Hour of Code that increases diversity in computer science (students with different backgrounds coding and working together).
My 39 kids will use the iPads to develop their 21st Century Skills, such as, critical thinking, problem solving, curiosity, innovation, initiative, public speaking and presenting, listening, teamwork, cooperation...and through this, become leaders in years to come. Our FUTURE LEADERS!!
