I teach 47 eager-to-learn third grade students in a low socioeconomic school. I team teach with another third grade teacher. I teach math to two classes, in addition to all other subjects (excluding reading) to my homeroom. More than half of my class receives free lunch.
My students show up every day excited to be at school and ready to learn. Unfortunately, many of them do not have traditional learning materials at home that foster learning through hands-on learning experiences. I need your help updating the materials in my classroom. Due to economic strains, our classrooms are suffering. Without your help, it is impossible for me to purchase these things.
