First grade is a magical year. Students are developing their personalities and eager to soak up as much information as they can. The light in their eyes as they move from letters to sounds to words to READING is magical. I get to spend each day watching them have their eyes opened to the love of learning. Through these projects, I hope to find resources that will further inspire and encourage their curiosity and zest for life and learning. They say that learning is not the filling of a pail, but the lighting of a fire. What a cool thing that I get to be the one that hands them the match.

About my class
