My students need 220 subscriptions to 3-4 COMBO Bundle of TIME for Kids and 95 of 5-6 subscriptions, for access to great current event resources! Help students analyze news stories and information in this media friendly generation. A fully funded project will allow students in grade levels 3rd - 5th access to resources with current events to challenge their critical learning and social studies skills in the classroom.
What they will learn from analyzing these resources will help carry them throughout their lives when and how they will view news stories and information.
These is an important life skill that will help them form opinions, vote, and analyze the information they are given in a media-abundant, technology-native generation.
Our students, like many students are given great new technology resources, but are often not always taught the critical thinking skills necessary to help them analyze important news stories. It is an important part of our profession to be able to help them become the most successful kind of individuals that they can become.
