My classroom might look a bit different than most classrooms. I generally have around 56 students I see each day for reading acceleration groups. As a Reading Specialist, building reading and literacy skills is my solitary focus. I find it is incredibly important to support our struggling students, especially those who may have fewer opportunities at home. Our elementary school is an Oklahoma Title I school; 100% of our students receive free lunches. My heart's desire is for my students to have an excellent quality education, despite what the budget may say. Our school motto is "Education Opens Doors." I fully believe that to be the truth. Thank you for your support! Future generations WILL be better because of it. "The more that you read, the more things you will know. The more that you learn, the more places you'll go." Dr. Seuss, I Can Read With My Eyes Shut!
