This project includes STEAM kits that promote creative thinking, building, and collaborating. It will engage students, help them think, and get them out of their seats. Money and fraction-related manipulatives are also included to expose students to other math skills necessary to succeed. The students will be inspired to "play teacher" through the use of these manipulatives. Peer-tutoring after all is a great way to learn. Additionally, incentives have been included to motivate the students while providing them with educational supplies. Clipboards have been included in order to provide students with a hard surface to write on while they are out of their seats and working with partners or in a group. Wooden cubbies or mailboxes would provide the students with sturdy place in which they could safely store all of their project ideas and work.
Overall, students will be actively learning through having fun-- making room 11 a great place to be!
