I like to think of my classroom as a controlled chaos. Desk are covered with papers and books are open. It's messy but students are smiling and working urgently. Voices all join in a symphony of thoughts and questions and they work as if their lives depended on it. Because it does, if they weren't able to get their opinions down, get their voices heard, listen to their classmates then they've wasted time. In our classroom wasting time is the worse crime a learner can commit, for their class, for their group, for themselves. And because of this, my students are always working with the grit that comes with the drive to accomplish.
