Coming from a low socioeconomic area, many of my students only use computers at school. The computers we have at school are outdated and severely damaged.
In a world with increasing technology usage, I want to expose my students to the different technologies they will experience in the real world.
Using technology in my classroom would increase student engagement drastically. Students have a higher interest when technology is introduced in the classroom. I would also like to decrease my waste in my classroom by going as paperless as possible. I would like to have students use the iPads during my small group literacy instruction to allow students to have access to a larger variety of different texts and more in line with their interests
