Every individual student deserves the opportunity to shine! Through personalized learning, students can focus on their individual strengths and areas for success increasing engagement and enjoyment in learning! But personalization is challenging for educators with 150 students per day. Thankfully technology has made assigning and improving personalized learning much more accessible and possible! But in order to make use of these tools, students need access to 1:1 technology!
I plan to use the Kindle Fire 7 Android tablet in my chemistry classes to provide access to resources such as Kahn Academy, Phet Interactive, Kahoot, open source courses, videos with embedded questioning through EdPuzzle, and digital discussions through Google Classroom.
Your support of this initiative will help hundreds of NYC students learn to love science and have their own sense of accomplishment as well as learn important 21st-century skills that will translate to the workforce and college.
