My students are 2nd gr. mostly in low income family. We have a high number of English learner students and I want to provide meaningful way for them to learn. Some students come to school hungry and could not focus as a teacher, I empathize them and I want to be there for them. They are excited to learn and I want to provide learning that is fun and interesting. I don't believe in worksheet. I am a firm believer that children learn best when they explore and have plenty of hands-on activity. Most students don't have computers at home and I believe that students need to be familiar with technology after all we are in the 21st century where everything is just a click away. I want my students to be competitive and be successful in life. I am teaching them skills that they can use and be ready for college and most of all to be prepared for the real world and be a responsible citizen of this country.
