My students would like to be able to start growing seeds in our classroom in early spring (when there's still tons of snow on the ground outside).
Having a Growlab also means my students can closely watch their seeds grow, and monitor progress in their journals. Having a raised garden bed will allow the kids to be able to grow the hardier plants outside when it warms up. I won the Excellence in Teaching About Agriculture Award for the state of Utah back in 2002 and I make it a point to include agriculture in my class each year. Kids need to know where their food comes from.
