I am so excited to start in-person learning this school year! This is my second year teaching at this school, but last year was 100% virtual so I finally get the opportunity to hold labs in person! This is often my students' favorite part of the class and gets them excited about learning, but I need some help getting everything I need.
Hands-on labs and experiments are an important part of students' learning in my chemistry class. These hands-on experiences not only make learning fun for my students but also helps prepare them for college and their future careers. Unfortunately, my lab and classroom are missing some big and necessary equipment. First of all, a TV is necessary for my classroom in order to show our student broadcast each morning. I will also use it to show videos and simulations that I don't have the materials to perform myself.
My lab also desperately needs a freezer/fridge. There was one in my classroom that no longer works. This is something needed for science classrooms because many experiments require temperature control. I may need to store some materials in the fridge for labs. I also need to create ice that is used in many, many, labs. Please help me get one in my classroom so my students can have the best experience back to school this year!
