My students are in need of some basic supplies that will help demonstrate their learning. These supplies will really make a mark!
Pencils, crayons, markers, and erasers are undeniably staples in every elementary classroom. However, all students do not come with these basic supplies. The supplies that the students bring rarely last until December, much less the end of the school year.
I am asking for Ticonderoga brand pencils because they are made of quality wood that will last for quite some time. Other brands of pencils usually do not sharpen evenly, and break easily. They are also very hard on electric pencil sharpeners.
Crayons are easily broken, become dull quickly and are often lost. I would really like to have a class set of crayons to replace the missing colors in my students' boxes. The crayon sharpener will be used to sharpen dull crayons. It becomes very difficult to color inside the lines when your crayons are dull. The sharpener will improve the quality of my students' projects.
Anyone who knows first-graders, knows that they love to erase. We can never have enough erasers in our classroom. I plan to cut each of the erasers in half to help them last throughout the year. The half-sized erasers also fit better in the students' hands, allowing them more control when erasing. Thank you for making sure that my students have the necessary supplies!
