These materials will help ensure that students get a hands-on science activity 3-4 times each week. Scientists do their best learning by DOING, and this equipment will help my students build interactive models while we study topics like our solar system, ecosystems, and particles of matter.
Ultimately, these supplies will help my class build strong foundations for deep conceptual understanding of topics that are way to big (the universe) or too tiny (molecules) to see with the human eye. Projects range from building models of where stars are in the sky to investigating mysterious substances using their properties.
