This project's purpose is to fund the purchase of a new skeleton. Coming into the school as the new anatomy teacher, it was discovered that our current skeleton is over 30 years old and is missing several bones. It is also a model of a child rather than an adult. Therefore, it was determined that a new skeleton is needed in order to maximize student learning! This model is utilized in several units during anatomy & physiology and is also used in the art classes.
The best way for students to learn about science is by doing science! They need to be able to manipulate and experience what they are learning. This new skeleton will allow students to see how the bones fit together to form their own body.
