Our school is a small (355 students) Title 1 school in Utah. During many meetings I have found myself uncomfortable from sitting in the hard resin chairs after 30 minutes. Imagine how the students feel after 51/2 hours a day. I decided to change that and offer my students alternative seating, we have exercise balls, floor cushions, and stools, students move to different seats through out the day and work with different people. One problem with this design is that there is no where to store our belongings. I need a tote storage center so that my students can keep all of their belongings in one place since we have no desks, rather we have tables. Currently students store their books and papers in bins for each book or notebook. We lose class time everyday waiting for table groups to find their books and supplies. A storage center will keep us organized f, and allow students to keep their nontraditional seats.
