At Sam's Valley Elementary our resource room goal is to provide a safe, encouraging space for students to learn. Our Growth Mindset classroom theme inspires students to think about the strengths they contribute. Our students demonstrate super collaboration skills, exceptional independent thinking skills, outstanding creativity, and a tenacious determination to succeed. Small group and independent learning stations are strategically set up around the classroom. We have two stations where students work collaboratively with a small group teacher on reading, math, writing, and social skills. We also have 3 computer stations where students work in pairs or independently on core math and reading skills. In one corner of our room, we have a calming space where students can regroup, recharge and re-enter. We make a difference "..Critically intervene in a way that challenges and changes." ~Bell Hooks
