My students need these STEM materials to help expand their curiosity and expand their language through labeling new materials and asking questions. With these materials, my students would be able to see and feel different science specimen replicas that are most likely not accessible in their home environments. They will be able to use their creativity and problem solving skills to build different structures using the bridge engineering kit. The kit includes images of real life structures, and students will be able to observe the images and discuss what makes the structures strong in order to use these components in their own creations. I want my students to feel like little scientists when they use the observation tools. The observation tools include the telescope with the removable tripod, binoculars, a plastic microscope with prepared slides, tweezers, a petri dish, and an eyedropper. These tools are all realistic scientist equipment that students will learn how to use and the function they perform. My goal is to stimulate their little minds by exposing my students to science and engineering early on in their life. These materials will make a difference in my students' learning by providing them with new equipment that they can explore. At the preschool age, the most important lessons are learned through a play-based instruction. These toys will help facilitate science-play experiences.
